[Inexpensive Equipment Is Fine] What You Need to Share Information Through Video (YouTube) [Getting Started Matters Most]

Hello, I'm Tetsuya Ashida of ACIDHOUSE, INC.

Looking around, it seems likely to cost quite a bit…
This article should help people in that situation.
Make the Most of Equipment You Already Have
- The smartphone you already own.
- A tripod.
- A microphone (optional).
- Editing software (an app or inexpensive option is fine).
That is enough.
When starting out, what matters is simply filming and uploading, rather than improving video quality.
The reason is simple: at first, you will have almost no views—nobody will be watching.
Even if you are unhappy with the quality of your information, or the picture and sound are mediocre, uploading is more important. Upgrading your equipment can wait until you consistently attract views.
People say you need to upload 100 videos before views begin to grow, but that is not certain. Still, the smartphone you already have should be fine until you pass 100 videos.
If you offer services for women and want attractive-looking footage, use a smartphone app. Choose one your target users like using.
The Equipment I Use
I have a YouTube channel myself, so let me introduce my setup.
My Filming Camera: iPhone XR 128 GB
I edit the videos I shoot with Final Cut Pro X and transfer them after filming to Macbook Pro using AirDrop for storage, so my phone has relatively little capacity.
However, if you edit in an app or want to keep videos on your smartphone, you could choose a higher-capacity model (256 GB) or upgrade to the XS with 512 GB.
An older smartphone is fine too, but older phones probably have less storage, so regularly transfer videos to a computer.
Also, if your old smartphone feels slow or awkward to use, replacing it is an option. Productivity matters.
Editing Software
I use Final Cut Pro, but a cheaper option is fine.
iMovie
Video editing software preinstalled on Macs. Incidentally, there is also an iOS version for iPhone and iPad.
You can make cuts and add captions quite quickly.
filmora
For editing with simple controls, Filmora is also recommended.
Apparently some YouTubers love it, and a business owner I know, who describes themselves as not good with computers, praised it highly, saying, “Editing is so easy!”
