A Must-Read for Anyone Seeking More Customers Through Online Stores or the Web! The Design Psychology Technique “Trust Format” Is Hot

From ACIDHOUSE, INC., this is Tetsuya Ashida.
If you run an online store or attract customers through the web, there is a method I would like to introduce.
A design psychology technique that sells by changing a website's “appearance” like a chameleon... Did you know such a field existed??
It is new material from Takuma Yamamoto (Yamataku) of ORECON, whose seminar I recently attended: “Trust Format.”
What Is Trust Format?
Trust Format is a technique that borrows from magazines and media your customers trust—their “impression,” “design,” and “credibility”—to increase sales through design psychology.
For example:
- When a website that was attracting few visitors was redesigned to look just like the cover of Nikkei Business Associe, its conversion rate rose 220%.
- Simply displaying an “official brand logo” on a watch sales website increased its conversion rate by 107%.
- Displaying a “badge logo” showing awards received on an online website increased service signup rates by 29.2%.
These and many other examples have been reported through A/B testing.
A website version of “90% of a person is their appearance” might be one way to describe it.
Why Does This Lead to Higher Sales?
In a mature market, many customers already more or less “understand the product.”
The question is where, and from whom, to buy it.
Instead of lengthy persuasion through copy, design may be quicker.
By aligning with what customers like, you may build trust and make the site more approachable, which I think makes products easier to sell.
Depending on age, gender, and industry, “design that sells” differs completely, so this may be exactly the method for people struggling to build their websites.
One Day Is Enough to Learn Trust Format
Yamataku of ORECON was holding a seminar called “The Psychology of Profitable Appearance... Trust Format 1-Day Seminar.”
From choosing fonts and colors to selecting images and layouts, the aim is to confidently build customer trust through the web pages you create.
ORECON's seminars are packed with content, and I have incorporated many things from them into my own business.
Response Up 1.5x by Changing Just a Few Characters of Text? I Attended the "Microcopywriting 1-Day Program" August 31, 2018
As of March 2019, none appears to be scheduled, but if you are interested in Trust Format and want to start using it right away, attending the “Trust Format 1-Day Seminar” when it is held may be a good idea.
Meanwhile, also recommended by Yamataku of ORECON, the “Microcopywriting” 1-Day Seminar appears to be scheduled intensively in April and May, so attending that may also be worthwhile.
At a seminar, you can also ask detailed questions about Trust Format.
